February & March 2012

February: Valentine's day, the Prix de Lausanne ballet competition, more Ramseyer art, and the Lion of Lucerne.

March: We traveled to the US. I took lots of photos with my mind's eye, but none with a camera.

Montreux Ramseyer

Plentitude (1985)

An André Ramseyer sculpture on the waterfront in Montreux to add to the survey from early July.

At DuPeyrou

 

It turns out, the sculpture in the fountain at the Hôtel DuPeyrou is an early Ramseyer from 1948-49.

In Monruz

A Ramseyer possibly from 1999 (it was difficult to read the inscription) in front of the WinCasa building in Monruz.

Ramseyer everywhere

I'm now seeing works by local sculptor André Ramseyer all around town. Standing in a sculpture garden

between the art museum and the docks are Aube (1977-81) by di Teana (previously featured in this post) in the foreground and Labyrinthe VI (1977) by Ramseyer (previously featured in this post) in the background.
