Pink pipes

There are pink pipes running above ground all over town. Berlin has a high water table,
and these pipes drain the water from construction sites.

New building

A few months ago, I noticed a building near us that had holes in its roof. Soon afterwards, it was demolished. Excavation of the site soon followed, and now they're beginning to build. The excavation looks terraced, but it isn't. The building to be built here will eventually house Zak's lab.

Home construction

This new building is going up on the hill by our grocery store. This is typical Swiss construction: the exterior
and interior walls are made of orange ceramic-y brick, which explains why we had such a hard time
hanging art in our apartment.
