Ramseyer everywhere
I'm now seeing works by local sculptor André Ramseyer all around town. Standing in a sculpture garden
between the art museum and the docks are Aube (1977-81) by di Teana (previously featured in this post) in the foreground and Labyrinthe VI (1977) by Ramseyer (previously featured in this post) in the background.

Another of the sculptures in the garden. A nice aerial view of the esplanade.

Lake Maggiore islands
On our way back to Switzerland, Zak and I stopped in Stresa and visited two of the Borromean Islands of
Lake Maggiore. We ate lunch on Isola dei Pescatori, the smaller one in the distance, which is three streets
wide and covered in restaurants and souvenir shops. Then we toured the palace and terraced garden
of Isola Bella in the foreground. Tourists zip between the islands on small boats run by private operators.

Spiez castle
On Friday, we scheduled a two-hour stopover in Spiez, just enough time for a picnic lunch and quick tour of the town's castle, which sits on a narrow strip of land jutting into Lake Thun.

Château de Chillon
The Château de Chillon sits about four kilometers south of Montreux. We walked along the
beautifully landscaped lake shore, stopping along the way for a picnic lunch.
